Marlin game fishing Cairns

hinchinbrook channel
The Hinchinbrook Channel, located South of Cairns just off Cardwell with its myriad of pristine estuaries and waterways is an estuary angler’s heaven.

Ideally suited to lure casting, fly fishing or live bait fishing for the Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Threadfin Salmon, Fingermark, Trevally, Tarpon, Queenfish etc.

The area is known for its consistent production of outstanding numbers of Barramundi and is certainly worth the 2 hour drive from Cairns for a few days of fishing.

Largely protected from the south East by Hinchinbrook Island (largest National Park Island in the world) and sheltered from the south West and West by the Cardwell Range, the channel makes for a superb weather friendly, extended fishing destination with a selection of accommodations on offer. Charter possibilities:

Full day
2 Day / 1 Night
3 Day / 2 Night
4 Day / 3 Night
5 Day / 4 Night

Fully guided packages include all fishing tackle and equipment, accommodation, all meals and beverages, return hotel transfers.
